Easy to get to, and hard to leave
Alexandria, MN---When it comes to describing memorable fishing and vacationing opportunities, the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce (www.alexandriamn.org) slogan, “Easy to get to and hard to leave,” pretty much sums up the exciting and numerous opportunities that abound for outdoor enthusiasts in the Alexandria Chain of Lakes area.
Alexandria, MN---Teams competing in the Warrior Boats Alexandria Chain of Lakes Spring Walleye Classic are reminded of the no-wake areas at the bridges and culverts connecting lakes Darling, Carlos, Le Homme Dieu, Geneva and Victoria. Boats will be required to be off plane and at idle speed prior to entering and after leaving each bridge and culvert on the chain of lakes. No-wake areas are also posted on north Darling and between Government and Tolena Point on Le Homme Dieu as well. Green and red markers are in the water at each no- wake area while boaters should pass between the two markers entering and exiting the no-wake zone. Be aware of rock hazards off of Tolena and Government Point on Le Homme Dieu, and anywhere you see a buoy.
